The Journey of Soul Well Collective

Updated: Sep 26, 2019

Welcome, thanks for making it to our website. Soul Well Collective has been a project and labor of love and passion. Along the way we've learned some lessons and we'd like to share them.

Taking On Too Much

Being a young professional in today's landscape looks...well busy. Between getting up early for 6:00 am gym sessions, working early mornings and late nights, dating, keeping up with friends and activities, and visiting with family it's a lot. One thing we've learned while creating Soul Well Collective is that taking on too much doesn't make you a hero, it makes you upset, agitated and depressed. Self-care is not an option it's a necessity. You need to make time for you so you can make time for others. Coming together with a group of like-minded individuals to be truly mindful of where you are, being secure with the fact that you are where you are suppose to be, and knowing it's going to all be okay can be all the fuel you need to help get your mental strength back.

Community Is Important

Many of us might not want to admit it but we're lonely. We might have acquaintances or people we party with or go out with, but how many of these people do we have true and meaningful connections with? We're talking about the kind of connection where you talk about the deep stuff not the surface-level stuff. The kind of stuff that matters. It can be very easy to get caught up in the cycle of life, that we forget others are going through the same type of experiences we are. We can feel like the only ones, and with social media updates constantly hitting us from all directions, we forget that we are all here facing a lot of the same struggles and wanting the same things in life. When you make the time to try something a little different and truly engage in the experiences (instead of passively attending another networking event) you can learn more about yourself through others. This is what we are missing in our society, and it's part of our mission to bring this component back to our everyday lives.

Listening To Ourselves

We spend so much time thinking, listening, and making decisions about other people it can be really tough to just take the time and have the patience to listen to ourselves. What do you truly want out of life? What will make you happy? With societal and family pressures separating what you want from what others around you want for you, it can be tough. It starts with self, and that means taking time to release, relax, and repeat. Being mindful and performing meditative exercises to connect back to self, doesn't have to mean sitting cross-legged in the middle of a room (though it can). But it can also take place when journaling, walking in nature, painting, doing yoga, wherever works for you. The important part is that you connect with your mind, and this is something that requires practice. Performing these exercises with others who are on the same journey and path as you can make you feel more connected and confident in yourself and your journey.

Led With Passion (and love)

Life should be lived with passion and love. You should always be looking to let passion into your life whatever that means to you. Leading from this place can never be a mistake because it leads you to ask the questions you're scared to ask, perform the actions you want to perform, and take the first steps you're scared to take. The good news is you don't have to do it alone. Soul Well Collective is there for you to help you every step of the way.

You've got this, and we've got you!
